I was attracted to still life painting because I could set up my choice of objects and have
them around for several days to paint. I prefer this approach to working from photographs. With further study, this has
developed into a deep interest. I am now focused on still life paintings that exist naturally, where the objects
are in situ and have more relevance to time, place and people.
